Shipping: How It Works
Are You Worried About Shipping?
Many of our customers get concerned about shipping. When it comes to shipping chocolate, we take the process very seriously. We use boxes for shipping our chocolate that are specifically meant for food orders to keep food cold. In addition, we only ship packages Monday through Wednesday in order for packages to not get caught in the post office; it is our top priority to get your chocolate to you as fresh and as fast as possible. You can view the step-by-step process below. If you have any additional questions, please feel free to reach out to us now!
Our Shipping Process: Step By Step
1. To start the shipping process, we select the specific bars that were purchased by the customer and bundle them into smaller groups so they can easily be secured with a gold ribbon. To top it off, we then place brown tissue paper over the top of the open shipping container, and then gently lower the bars onto the paper so they do not move when out for delivery.
2. Next, we pull up the sides of the tissue paper to fully cover all of the chocolate. To preserve the bars so they can withstand heat, we add in ice packs for extra cooling (Fun Fact: Dark chocolate also has a higher melting point than regular chocolate!). Air-packs are also used as cushioning to brace impact when out for delivery.
3. The package is topped with styrofoam and then taped for shipping. We also include a handwritten note addressed to the customer to thank them for their order. We wouldn't be where we are without them! The chocolate is then shipped out to be eaten and enjoyed.
